Health and Human Services Collaborative
The Eastern Panhandle Health and Human Services Collaborative (HHSC) brings together a broad cross section of the community to mobilize working groups to create sustained changes in the community.
The Collaborative is a community based initiative that grew out of a partnership that the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle had with the Department of Health and Human Resources and the Shenandoah Community Health Center. These organizations recognized the need for the community to come together to identify and address issues that no one organization could address alone.
In the summer of 2005, the group developed operating principles and met for the first time.
